Despite Mondays’ LEI Leading Economic Index falling sharply by 1% in April, US Equities managed to break slightly higher than last week before consolidating slightly red on the week. Weekly Jobless Claims fell slightly to 227,000 indicating a stable job market. The Gold/Silver ratio has been nearly flat at 99.78. The tone from the President might have shifted to trade positive. He had suggested that Walmart should “Eat” the tariffs on the 17th. On Wednesday he suggested taking Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae public. “Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are doing very well, throwing off a lot of CASH, and the time would seem to be right,” Trump said, with 30 Yr Bond Yields at 19 month highs.
