Gold pushed to a weekly high of $3,399 USD on Thursday pushed again by Safe Haven demand, despite strong equities and reduced trade fears. Equities persisted higher to a weekly high of 6,074.75 on the SP500 ES futures on Wednesday with tariff risk fears lowered by Trump's  posting  “OUR DEAL WITH CHINA IS DONE…” and  “WE ARE GETTING A TOTAL OF 55% TARIFFS, CHINA IS GETTING 10%.”  Weekly Jobless Claims were flat at last week’s revised 248,000 seasonally.  The Gold/Silver ratio  fell another 1% to  93.06. Longer 20 yr and 30 yr US government bond rates have dropped from their highs late last month above 5% to 4.86 and 4.85% respectively. The probability of a 25bps rate cut in 2025 as priced by PolyMarket fell from 25 to 21% though the probability of a 50 bps cut rose from 21% to 27%. This might suggest that if a cut were required it would happen in a larger 50 bps increment.
